I have been using Fenix flashlights for over 10 years now, the first one having been a gift. I just bought my third headlamp - Fenix HL16 which is very handy. It takes one battery, the light is great even at the lowest setting and the Fenix HL16 seems like a hardy piece.The torches are not cheap but they are long lasting and the battery goes a long way I find it worthwhile spending the extra amount.

It is a very good headlamp with compact and sturdy body design and sufficient bright light with just 1AA battery.

It stopped working after 1 week

I used the Fenix HM23 headlight for an ultrarun on the hills. It was a night run (from 130 am onwards) and without any street lights on the mountain. You don't need the full beam, the second intensity level is good enough. It is not a rechargable torch, but you could use rechargable batteries (duracel or energizer). It fits well and sturdy. It fell on one occasion but nothing happen to it. Pros - good quality, sturdy and elastic band is good. Cons - slightly expensive compared to local brands.
