Fenix LD05 V2.0- A superior EDC AAA battery Flashlight Review

Thanks for joining today as we go over the newly released Fenix LD05 V2.0 UV flashlight. The Fenix LD05 is the second UV light Fenix has released this summer with this one having a maximum at 100 lumens. It also has dual light sources. This new penlight has a warm white light up to 100 lumens and a 200 milliwatt UV light. It is also very compact and easy to conceal with it only being 5.3 inches long and about ½ inch wide in diameter, weighing in at 1 ounce while running on 2 AAA batteries that are also included. You can keep the Fenix LD05 in your pocket, backpack, or gear bag. The New LD05 is easy to use with a 1 button design on the rear, making it extremely effortless to operate. People of all ages will enjoy its unique design with a stainless steel pocket clip, switch, and head that is fitted with 90 CRI CREE XQ-E HI warm white LED. Those LEDS are the best for people in the medical field, law enforcement, or simply just flashlight enthusiastic. It has a color rendering index of 90 and a color temperature of 3000K.

The UV light is great for detecting counterfeit currency, checking ID cards, or even to check for stains. UV light blue and shown on items that contain fluorescent agents, but will also display a faint white light. Another great feature of the LD05 V2.0 is the IP68 waterproof rating. It can easily handle the harshest of conditions, and can be submerged underwater up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. As mentioned previously the Fenix LD05 has only one tail switch. All you do is fully press the switch to turn it on or off and half a click to change your desired brightness levels from low, medium, high, and UV. The LD05 is also going to maintain a constant brightness since it has a digitally regulated output. You have three power options for the the LD05 V2.0. These are going to be regular non-rechargeable alkaline batteries, lithium non-rechargeable batteries, or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. Let us go over the run on time with their lumen outputs. Please note that the alkaline and lithium batteries are going to have the same runtime and each battery will have the same lumen output.

Starting off with an alkaline battery, it's going to be 5 lumens with a run time of 70 hours. The next setting would be the mid output, which is 25 Lumens with a runtime of 7 hours and 50 minutes. The last output would be the high setting with 100 Lumens and a runtime of 1 and 40 minutes. If the light will not be used for an extended period of time we also recommend removing any alkaline batteries. The light could be damaged by the leakage, if the batteries are left inside for an extended period of time. The Fenix LD05 V2.0 does have an intelligent memory circuit, so when it turns on again it will remember the previously used output setting. So basically if you turn it off on medium and turn it back on, it'll be still on that medium setting.
