Fenix TK72R Wins Red Dot Award for High Quality Design

On March 7th, the Red Dot Award 2017, also referred to as the “Oscar of Design”, was awarded to Fenix Lighting. Fenix, the leading outdoor lighting brand, won the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017 with its newest high-performance flashlight the TK72R, featuring an OLED display screen. It competed against more than 5500 entries from 54 countries. In the end, it succeeded in winning the favor of the jurors. This means a lot to the Fenix brand, Fenixlight Company and Fenix’s product designers. The entire R&D team gained international recognition once again!

The Red Dot Award was organized by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in 1955, and has become one of the world’s largest design competitions. After more than 60 years of growth and expansion, it’s now well developed as an international design award establishment. As one of the most influential, it is also commonly referred to as the “Oscar of Design”. It is well known that the assessment standard for awards is extremely strict. The jury of 40 independent designers, design professors and specialist journalists test, discuss and assess each individual product. They award 3 products with either the “Honorable Mention” for a well-conceived detail solution, the “Red Dot Award” for high design quality or the “Red Dot: Best of the Best Award” for ground-breaking design.
