This extension is totally optional, and it is likely that it may not be put to use because of our habit to rely on regular routine tools at home. I bought this as I have Kit Bit #1 and #2 and certain jobs in the farm require the extension, and the is extension with Kit Bits were very handy with my Leatherman Surge and Signal. It's a one time investment and you will find it quite beneficial albeit you develop the habit of using them. 😀😀
