If you need extreme beam throw at the press of a button, this is the light. The Fenix HT18R V2.0 uses a Luminus SFT90 LED behind a deep reflector to concentrate 3700 lumens into an intense 268,000 candela beam that reaches 1100 metres, more than a full kilometre. Across a lake, a valley, an open field or a forest clearing, you'll see what's there long before you get close.

It's built for professionals and outdoor users who work in tough conditions and need maximum visibility over very long distances: wilderness rescue, forest and estate patrols, wildlife watching and mountain expeditions. At 358 g, it carries easily in the included holster.

Instant Turbo and instant Strobe

When something moves in the dark, you don't have time to cycle through modes. A long press on the tactical switch fires instant Turbo at full power from any brightness level, so you can light up a distant area immediately. From off, a long press on the functional switch fires instant Strobe at 3000 lumens to warn off and disorient a threat in an emergency.

Beacon and SOS: your safety net outdoors

Outdoor trips don't always go to plan. The HT18R V2.0 has a dedicated SOS mode to send a distress signal, and a 3700-lumen Beacon to mark your location so a search party, your group or your vehicle can find you from far away.

Seven modes

Turbo reaches over a kilometre when you need to see far. High and Medium handle patrols and trail use, and Low runs for 87 hours, more than three and a half days of continuous light, on a single charge.

6000mAh battery and 1.5-hour fast charging

The HT18R V2.0 comes with a high-capacity Fenix ARB-L21-6000 (6000mAh 21700) battery for long nights out. Slide back the dust cover on the neck to reveal the built-in USB Type-C fast-charging port. It's internally waterproofed to IP68 and charges the light from empty to full in about 1.5 hours. No separate charger or battery removal needed.

The 1.5-hour charge needs a 9 V / 3 A fast charger (not included). On a standard 5 V / 3 A adapter, charging takes about 2.5 hours. Use an adapter rated at least 2 A. Low-power adapters, such as older phone chargers, may not charge the 21700 battery fully.

Four colour filters for every situation (optional)

Pair the HT18R V2.0 with the Fenix AOF-18 filter pouch, which holds red, green, blue and yellow filters:

• Red: preserves your night vision.
• Green: less disturbing to wildlife, ideal for observation.
• Yellow: cuts through fog, mist and dust for better visibility.
• Blue: for specialist tracking and inspection work.

Filters and pouch are sold separately. The red and green filters from the original HT18 and HT18R also fit the V2.0.
