Made for skilled craftsmen, tested by professionals
Three reasons the Ranger 78 M Grip is built for real work.
One-hand
A perfectly placed thumb hole
The large blade has a thumb hole, so you can open it with one hand while the other holds the work. It then locks open, so it can't fold onto your fingers while you cut.
M Grip
Two-component scales
The dual-density scales combine a firm base with a softer grip layer, for an outstanding hold and a modern, sturdy look. The tool stays secure in your hand when you saw or turn a stubborn screw.
Swiss made
Made in Switzerland since 1884
Victorinox has made its tools in Ibach, Switzerland, for well over a century. Like every tool in the Ranger series, the 78 M Grip is made for skilled craftsmen and tested by professionals.
Saw, strip, fix: one hand on the tool
Twelve tools for real outdoor jobs
A one-hand locking blade, a wood saw, a Phillips screwdriver, two flat screwdrivers, a wire stripper, two openers, a reamer with punch and sewing awl, tweezers, a toothpick and a key ring. The Ranger 78 M Grip is the perfect tool for sawing wood and stripping wire in the outdoors, and just as handy for jobs around the house.
A grip that stays put
At 130 mm, the Ranger 78 M Grip fills your hand, and the two-component scales give you a secure, comfortable hold. That control matters when you're sawing a branch, piercing leather or putting force behind a screwdriver.
Fixes, fittings and small comforts
The Phillips and flat screwdrivers handle the screws on furniture, appliances and gear, and the wire stripper takes care of a quick wiring repair. The reamer, punch and sewing awl make holes in leather and wood or stitch a torn strap, while the toothpick and tweezers sit neatly in the handle.
Your name, on a Swiss classic
Add a name to the one-hand blade with our free laser engraving, and the Ranger 78 M Grip becomes a personal tool you'll keep for life. It's a practical gift for campers, trekkers, engineers and anyone who likes to fix things themselves.

Our buying policy
100% brand new
Every Victorinox we sell is brand new and never used. Victorinox avoids plastic packaging, so there's no plastic seal, but no piece is ever a return or a display unit.
No returns or exchanges
All sales are final. Because we never resell returned stock, every customer gets a genuinely new tool. Manufacturing defects are covered by the Victorinox Lifetime Warranty.
Keep it working like new
Release before closing
The large blade locks open. Release the lock before folding it, and keep your fingers clear of the edge.
Rinse and dry
Rinse in warm water now and then, especially after sawing or food use, then dry thoroughly with the tools open.
Oil the joints
A drop of food-safe oil on each joint keeps every tool opening smoothly.
Clean the grip
Wipe the two-component scales with mild soapy water. Avoid solvents, which can harm the soft grip layer.
