See the FREE K2 in action
Watch how the magnetic tools swing open with one thumb and lock with a click.
Smooth, quick and always ready
Magnets instead of fingernails
Leatherman's FREE® technology uses magnets to hold each tool closed. Push with your thumb and the tool swings out smoothly, then locks firmly while you work. No nail nicks, no two-hand fumbling.
Every tool sits on the outside, so you never have to unfold the whole tool to reach one.
Built for parcels and packaging
A dedicated package opener slits tape and plastic packaging cleanly, and the 8.4 cm 420HC blade handles cardboard, straps, cord and fruit.
A pry tool lifts lids and caps, so the blade is never used for prying.
Slim, light, clip included
At 138.9 g and 1.6 cm thick, the K2 rides comfortably in a trouser pocket on its removable clip. Three screwdrivers, an awl and a bottle opener round out a tool built for everyday life.
Leatherman backs it with a 25-year limited warranty.

Keep it working like new
Clean
Rinse in warm, soapy water and dry it fully with the tools open.

Oil lightly
A drop of light oil on the pivots keeps the action smooth.
Sharpen
420HC sharpens easily on any stone or pull-through sharpener.
Questions customers ask us
How does the magnetic FREE® opening work?
Magnets hold each tool closed. Push the tool with your thumb and it swings open smoothly and locks. To close it, press the release and it snaps shut. Every tool opens from the outside with one hand.
Do all the tools lock?
Yes. Every tool locks open while you use it, then releases to fold safely away.
Does it come with a pocket clip?
Yes. The removable pocket clip comes fitted, so the K2 is ready for pocket carry straight out of the box.
Should I choose the K2 or the FREE T2?
Both use magnetic FREE® opening and have eight tools. The K2 has a longer 8.4 cm blade and a larger handle that's easier to grip. The FREE T2 is smaller and lighter for the smallest pocket carry.
Does it have pliers?
No. If you need pliers in a compact everyday tool, choose the Rev.
Can I take it on a flight?
Not in your cabin bag, because it has a blade. Pack it in checked luggage.
Can I get it engraved?
Yes, laser engraving is free on Leatherman tools. Add a name, date, message or company logo. See examples of our engraving.
How quickly will it reach me?
We ship from Hyderabad within one business day, and orders placed before 11 am ship the same day. Delivery time after that depends on your city.
Will I get a GST invoice?
Yes. The price includes 18% GST, and registered businesses can claim input tax credit. Share your GSTIN when you order.
Can I see it before I buy?
Yes. Visit our Hyderabad store, book a video call demo, or message us on WhatsApp.
