To turn the Torch on or off, Press and hold the button for about half a second or two. After turning on, to switch between the various modes, single click on the switch to go from
Low → Mid → High → Turbo. (General Mode). For the SOS and Strobe Mode, Press and hold the button for 1.2 seconds and
press the button once to cycle between Strobe → SOS. (Flash Mode)
Strobe: From the off state, hold the button for 1.2 seconds. The model will remember the last selected brightness level in the general line of modes. When you turn it on again, this previously used level will be activated. When switched off in any of the flash modes, the Torch is activated in the general mode.
Lock: with the light off, press the button twice for half a second to lock the Torch, the indicator flashes twice at low. As a result, the lantern is blocked. To unlock, with the light off, double-click for 0.5 seconds to unlock. The Torch is activated at the lowest brightness.
Intelligent Over Heat Protection:
The Fenix C6 V3 has a been built with the smart technology to protect the battery and torch from over-heating. If you use the high brightness mode for a long time, heat is released (Strong bright light emits Heat). When the body reaches a temperature of 60°c or higher, the default brightness is reduced to reduce the temperature. As soon as the temperature falls below 60°c, it is possible to return to the required high brightness mode again.
Battery Level Indicator:
- The green light is on: a good charge level of 100% - 85%.
- Flashing green light: sufficient 85% - 50%.
- The red light comes on: low 50% - 25%.
- Flashing red light: critical value 25% - 0%.
Note: This option only works with the Fenix ARB-L18 18650 series battery.

Excellent in size, weight and price. But, the side switch is very unintuitive.
You need to press the side switch for the exact amount of time, else there is no light. Press it for slightly shorter duration, it won't switch on (rather, battery indicator will flash on the switch). Press if for slightly longer duration, some random flickering will happen (something totally unnecessary for a work light). Even worse, if you press it twice after pressing it once briefly (obviously after realizing that first press didn't do the trick), the light will go into a lockout mode and will not turn on (till you do another double click)! In case of an emergency, nobody apart from you will be able to turn it on. The rubber switch makes things even worse during dark. To your fingers, the USB pad feels almost similar to the switch. So, you end up pressing charging port cover instead of the torch switch. Why didn't they use round metal switch like in PD series?
I also believe, this torch has too many modes than ever required, just Low and High were enough. Consider Mid mode for instance. Why would you use it if you can use High mode? Even if battery backup is an issue, you will prefer Low but never bother with Mid. And look at Turbo, it is rated at 1500 lm but will kick down to the brightness of the High mode in just 20-30 mins. So what's the point in having it? Another unwanted keypress when cycling between High-Low.
If you overlook the above points (something hard for me to do), it's a good torch. Magnetic tail stand feature is very useful. It's ability to stay on while being charged helped me during my excursions. Perhaps, single switch flashlights are not for me.
Dealing with the Lightmen team was a positive experience, will soon get back for my fourth Fenix, but a different model for sure.
Good enough in this range ...
Handy as well
