Where Leatherman began
In 1983, Tim Leatherman's Pocket Survival Tool put a pair of pliers in everyone's pocket. The Bond is a modern tribute to that original: the same honest layout, now with contoured handles and today's materials.
No gimmicks, just the tools you reach for most.
Full-size pliers, ready for real work
Needlenose and regular pliers grip nuts, bend wire and hold parts steady. Built-in wire cutters, hard-wire cutters and a wire stripper handle quick electrical jobs around the home, car and bike.
Three screwdrivers and a file
Phillips, medium and small flat screwdrivers cover most household screws, and a wood/metal file smooths rough edges. A 19 cm ruler runs along the handles for quick measurements.
Comfortable to hold, easy to carry
The contoured stainless steel handles sit comfortably in your palm while you work. At 164 g it's lighter than most full-size Leathermans, and a lanyard ring lets you tether it when working at height.
Leatherman backs it with a 25-year limited warranty.

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear, misuse, and lost or stolen tools are not covered. Keep your LightMen invoice, as it's your proof of purchase.
Keep it working like new
Clean
Rinse in warm, soapy water, then dry it fully with the tools open.
Oil
Put a drop of light oil on each pivot and work the tools open and shut a few times.
Mind your fingers
The tools don't lock, so press on the back of the tool, not the edge, and keep fingers clear of the folding path.
Sharpen
420HC sharpens easily on any stone or pull-through sharpener.
Questions customers ask us
Does the blade lock?
No. Like the original PST it's inspired by, the Bond uses a classic non-locking design for its blade and tools. It's perfectly safe for everyday jobs when used normally. If you'd prefer locking tools, choose the Wave+.
Does it come with a sheath?
No, the sheath is sold separately. Our nylon sheath (with or without pockets) and MOLLE sheath both fit it in size Medium.
Should I choose the Bond or the Wave+?
Choose the Bond if you want a simple, lighter, budget-friendly Leatherman with pliers and the essentials. Choose the Wave+ if you want locking tools that open from the outside, scissors and bit drivers.
Is it a good first Leatherman or gift?
