Big pliers, real leverage
Long, square handles and full-size jaws let you grip, turn and pull with real force: stubborn nuts, bent fittings, staples and heavy wire.
The square handles spread pressure across your palm, so hard squeezing stays comfortable.
Three wire cutters, two of them replaceable
Replaceable wire and hard-wire cutters handle copper and steel wire. When they wear down, you swap the cutters instead of the tool.
Stranded-wire cutters cut multi-strand cable cleanly without crushing it, and an electrical crimper and stripper finish the job. Electricians love it for this.
Longer blades, every tool locks
An 8.13 cm plain blade, a serrated blade and a saw cover everything from cartons and rope to branches and PVC pipe.
Every tool except the plier head locks open, and cut-outs in the handles let you open tools with work gloves on.
Belt-ready out of the box
A nylon sheath comes included, so the Super Tool 300 rides on your belt from day one. A lanyard ring lets you tether it on scaffolding, boats and ladders.

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear (including wear on the black finish), misuse, and lost or stolen tools are not covered. Keep your LightMen invoice, as it's your proof of purchase.
Keep it working like new
Clean
Rinse in warm, soapy water after site work, then dry it fully with the tools open.
Oil
Put a drop of light oil on each pivot and work the tools open and shut a few times.
Replace worn cutters
The wire and hard-wire cutters can be swapped when they wear. Ask us about replacements.
Sharpen
420HC sharpens easily on any stone or pull-through sharpener.
Questions customers ask us
What comes in the box?
Do all the tools lock?
Yes. Every tool except the plier head locks open, so nothing folds back while you're pushing on it. Press the lock to close it.
Does it have scissors?
No. If you need scissors in a full-size tool, choose the Surge.
Should I choose the Super Tool 300 or the Surge?
The Super Tool 300 is about 80 g lighter, comes with a sheath and costs less. The Surge adds scissors, outside-opening blades and a blade exchanger that takes jigsaw blades.
Should I choose the Super Tool 300 or the Rebar?
They share the same square-handled design. The Rebar is smaller and lighter for everyday carry. The Super Tool 300 is bigger, with stranded-wire cutters, a longer blade and an extra screwdriver for heavier work.
Does the black finish scratch?
Yes. Black oxide wears to bare steel at the edges with use. It doesn't affect performance, but if you want a tool that looks new for longer, choose stainless steel.
Can I take it on a flight?
Not in your cabin bag, because it has blades. Pack it in checked luggage.
Can I get it engraved?
Yes, laser engraving is free on Leatherman tools. Add a name, date, message or company logo. See examples of our engraving.
How quickly will it reach me?

A perfect super tool for all your work and edc. Why go for anything else when you have this in your pocket. It's budget friendly and user friendly. No point buying costlier models. This one is the all time best of Leatherman.

Leatherman is the world's best multi-tool brand, no question there. This review is not about the tool.
I usually buy from their online store. Since I wanted this delivered as an engraved gift in India, I choose Lightmen.
To my surprise it was much, much cheaper than buying from the US.
I was also very impressed with the care and concern over the engraving quality from Lightmen and the speed of delivery.
I ordered another gift soon after, and I will be buying more in the future.

The supertool has a tough no-nonsense air to it. It's beefy and has a reassuring heft to the individual tools. Definitely not EDC and is best carried about in the beautiful Leather Sheath it comes with. This supertool is destined for a hard life out at sea and I have no reason to doubt that it'll shine.
Lightmen were extremely accomodating in fulfilling my requests for personalisation.
