I previously used to diffuse by pointing light to roof and spreading the light from that reflection,. I thought it would have higher intensity if i place a diffuser instead of of reflection from room. After using the diffuser i didn't find any changes in intensity. Also after placing the diffuser since the light isn't from top , it is hard to look into some places due to light directly hitting eyes. And some place even darker. I didn't find it worth for the money. Just place the flashlight upright and use the reflection from top. It's the best strategy.

The diffuser is well made, sturdy, and has the potential to be a great diffuser. However, it is not the right fit for the PD40R V2 flashlight that I purchased it for. In the absence of a suitable diffuser, this is the closest available from Fenix that fits the flashlight, I was advised.
