The Ruike LD51 is a pocket knife with multiple tools. A bit like a Swiss pocket knife, but not from Switzerland. The Ruike LD51 offers you a one-handed opening pocket knife with double lock. Double lock? Yes! The knife is traditionally stopped by a slipjoint. Exactly like you have grown accustomed to from the famous red pocket knives. In addition to the slipjoint, Ruike added a liner lock to the handle. This liner lock makes sure the slipjoint doesn't accidentally close. An incredibly safe system, perfect when you use your pocket knife for the more demanding tasks. The blade is made from Swedish Sandvik 12C27 steel. A stainless type of steel that is easy to sharpen.

The handle of the Ruike LD pocket knives is made from black G10. This is a light-weight composite material made from fiberglass and plastic. Incredibly strong and it offers you a lot of grip. A sustainable choice for a pocket knife you use for years.

The end of the handle is enhanced with a tungsten carbide glass breaker. This rock-solid material will break any car window. In case of an emergency you will therefore quickly be able to free yourself or someone else. Less known, but also very practical is the add engravings with such a sharp tip. With it you can engrave your initials in objects to make sure everyone knows they are yours. Think of tools that are sometimes borrowed.

The last tool in this pocket knife is somewhat hidden: the tweezers. Next to the glass breaker it sticks out just below the G10 handle. Great when removing splinters.

Coming to the product - Ruike LD51B - it is the best value for money multi-tool in the market today, for campers and trekkers. Sandvik 12C27 steel, G10 handle, liner lock on the main blade, light-duty pliers and wire cutter, impressive scissors, 45° woodsaw blade and belt-cutter, a really sharp awl/reamer with integrated wire benders, bottle opener with integrated flathead screwdriver, a sturdy Philips screwdriver, corkscrew, tweezers, tungsten topped glass breaker and deep pocket clip for easy carry in a kit, or just in your outdoor pant/jeans pocket - this combination would not be available for less than thrice the price from traditional Swiss Army Knife (SAK) makers. To my mind, Ruike has challenged the traditional SAK makers on the quality-price dimension with this tool. While I accept that you will have many more heavy-duty specialized multi-tools that are either designed around a primary blade, or a primary set of pliers, the Value For Money offered by the Ruike LD51B is most certainly unparalleled presently. Kudos !

Great multitool

An awesome bugout multitool. Useful for camping, hiking and backpack edc. One small tiny gripe was that, I was promised an unopened, sealed, mint condition piece. It wasn't sealed, no issues with that, as the product comes out of the factory like that. My only petty issue was that the awl on it had few burrs, and didn't appear to have a perfectly sharp unused edge, the edge of the awl had some marks of use. Anyway, not a deal breaker though. Overall, it's a gem.
