The Leatherman Bit Driver Extender slots into your Leatherman's large bit driver and adds 8.3 cm of reach for recessed screws in appliances, cars, bikes and electronics. It takes Leatherman's flat bits and standard 1/4" hex bits from any hardware shop, and a strong magnet holds them firmly in place.

Reach screws your tool can't
Many screws sit deep inside a housing: battery covers, appliance panels, car trims, bicycle parts. The extender adds 8.3 cm of reach, so the bit gets to the screw while your multi-tool's handle stays clear of the obstruction.
Use standard 1/4" hex bits too
Leatherman drivers normally take only Leatherman's flat bits. The extender also accepts standard 1/4" hex bits, the kind sold in every hardware shop. So if you need an unusual size, you can buy it locally and use it with your Leatherman.
A magnet that keeps bits in place
A strong magnet holds the bit firmly, so it won't drop out when you're working overhead or inside a cabinet. At just 45 g, it lives in a sheath pocket alongside your bits.

Push the extender's flat end into your Leatherman's large bit driver until it seats firmly.

Drop a Leatherman flat bit or a standard 1/4" hex bit into the extender's tip. The magnet holds it in place.

Guide the bit into the recessed screw and turn your tool as normal.

Can I really use normal hardware-shop bits with it?
Yes. The extender accepts standard 1/4" hex shank bits, the most common type sold in India, as well as Leatherman's own flat bits.
Does it come with any bits?
No, it's the extender only. Use the bits that came with your Leatherman, or add a Bit Kit Set or Bit Kit #1 and #2.
Will the bit fall out?
A strong magnet in the tip holds the bit firmly, even when working upside down or overhead.
How quickly will it reach me?
